School Staff

Miss Thompson is the teacher who oversees our Nursery Unit. Previously she taught for many years in the Primary end of the school, and is now at the stage of meeting lots of her past pupils' children in the Nursery. In her free time she teaches piano, sings in a choir and spends lots of time dog walking little Geordie.

Mrs McKinstry is one of our teachers in the Nursery Unit. She has a true passion for working with our youngest learners and helping them to progress in all areas of their development. She has two little children and in her spare time enjoys family outings, park visits and spending as much time outside as possible!

Outside of teaching Mrs Scullion loves travelling to different countries, long walks with her dog Nero and binge watching a good Netflix series. Most of all, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two daughters.

Mrs Johnston has been teaching in Linn Primary School since 2015. She loves working with the children as they learn, grow and have fun in her classroom. Outside of school she is Mummy to a little girl, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also loves to dance and try her best at Zumba!

Mrs Currie loves teaching her little but mighty P2's! building relationships with each individual personality and watching lighbulb moments is what makes her day. She is Mum to three children, enjoys taking caravan trips away with her family, going to the beach, walks and a cuppa with a Cadbury's marvellous creations! (Usually being forced to watch a Spurs game - the joy of living with three football mad boys!)

Mrs Hickey is originally from the North Coast, she is Mum to three (2 humans and 1 dog!). She has been a permanent member of staff at Linn Primary School since graduating in 2005. Mrs Hickey’s out of school loves are baking, brunching in coffee shops and Harry Styles (don’t judge her!). She loves her job and sees it as a vocation. In her opinion, P2’s are the best!

Miss Humphreys has been part of the Linn Primary family for four years now. She loves teaching P3, with her favourite topic being Australia. You'll know you're approaching her room because you will hear her hearty (and contagious!) laugh from the top of the corridor. She enjoys walks with her dog Digby and cannot wait to get married next year (queue wedding bells!).

Mrs Lennox joined Linn Primary back in 2015 and has been teaching P4 ever since! She loves being with family on the North Coast - usually coffee shop hopping or walking the beaches. Favourite food....anything with cheese!

Mrs McCormick is one of our latest teachers to join the Linn Primary family! You'll often find her on the daily mile track (rain, hail or snow!). Her favourite topic in P4 is Titanic. Mrs McCormick's favourite place is Morton's fish and chip shop in Ballycastle.

Miss Ritchie is a P5 teacher and the ICT co-ordinator. She loves paddle boarding and walks on the North Coast.

Mrs McCoy loves coffee, shopping, music, going on adventures near and far and spending time with her family and friends!

Along with plenty of Numeracy and Literacy challenges, Mrs Mills loves building relationships with the P6 pupils, whilst having lots of fun! In her free time, she enjoys walks with her husband and dog, going out for family dinners and watching a good movie!

Mr Taggart enjoys watching sport, road running and family walks.

Mrs Armitage supports the Belfast Giants ice hockey team and has a dog and a cat.

Ask Mrs Date and she'll tell you she has the best job in the school! She gets to teach all year groups from Nursery to P7. Outside of school shes loves walking her dogs when she has time, but she's usually running around after her two sons! Her happy place is the beach...

Mrs Richmond is part of our Haven team (Nurture Unit). She has two big sons who say her hobby is laundry but its really getting outside for a walk!

Mrs Johnston has been a classroom assistant at Linn Primary School for twenty-one years. She is a Mum and a Nana to her granddaughter. She enjoys walking her dogs sand spending time with family.

Mrs Falconer has worked in the Linn for 21 great years. In her spare time she likes to go walking, have coffee and often enjoys a Pilates class.

Mrs Mullan bakes a mean victoria sponge! She loves to spend time with her family. Tennis is her favourite sport, it's her dream to watch a centre court final at Wimbledon one day!

Mrs King has been a classroom assistant for a long time and she loves every minute of it! In her spare time she enjoys shopping, spending time with her family and trying out new coffee shops.

You'll often find Mrs Wright trudging through the mud in Carnfunnock forest with her two children! She also loves chocolate cake and the might Liverpool FC.

Miss Charters is Mummy to two gorgeous boys. She loves nothing more than long walks in Glenarm forest with her dog Luna. She enjoys cooking, especially Indian food!

Mrs McClelland is a Mum of two and has been a classroom assitant for fourteen years. She loves spending time with family and friends. She enjoys going for walks with her dog, Daisy and likes listening to 80's music!

Mrs Stewart has been a classroom assistant for sixteen years. She enjoys spending family time at the North Coast enjoying beautiful coastal walk and drinking endless cups of coffee!

Mrs McIlHeron is part of the Haven team (our Nuture Unit). She enjoys spending time with her family, walking and going for coffee with friends.

Mrs McKee works as a classroom assistant. When she's not at work or studying, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking walks with her dog, Ned.

Mrs Bell loves to cook, bake cakes and go for long walks.

When Miss Hamilton is not playing with the children in the Nursery, you can find her shopping, baking or out for afternoon tea - it's her favourite thing to do!

In school Mrs Baird enjoys maths and anything arty. Outside of school she loves to go for walks, read books and spend time with her family.

Ms Steele has been working at Linn Primary School for the past 11 years and is also a carer in the community. She has two grandchildren that keep her busy most weekends.

Miss Jordan is an avid reader and collector of books. She enjoys walks with her dogs and her favourite season is Autumn.

Miss Richmond enjoys spending time with family and is well known for her Christmas outfits in school!
